Aquaponics has the advantage of working with nature, and letting nature take over much of the process. Hydroponics and aeroponics can be too technical and hands on for most people. And with the growing demand for organic food, aquaponics hits the spot with both the organic produce and fish it produces.

All these systems have great advantages over conventional soil farming. Growing plants in the soil is the way we have produced food for thousands of years, since farming was invented. For many crops, it is still the best we have, but for  many others, soil free growing systems are much more efficient. Aquaponics makes it both more efficient and practical.

Growing plants in the ground the conventional way is a fight against nature. We take a natural habitat, turn the soil upside down and try to grow something there that does not naturally belong. Every year we have to turn the soil again, exerting much labor and energy, and disrupting the natural biology. As a result we have to continuously add massive amounts of fertilizer and water to the soil. Most of the fertilizer and water are wasted, leaching into the ground or evaporating, and are not used by the plants.

With aquaponics, you create more of a permaculture that uses technology to work with nature in a controlled environment, instead of working against nature. Instead of upsetting the ecology by cultivating and starting over every year, you have an ongoing system that is allowed to mature and support an ongoing balance between mutually beneficial organisms. This is how systems in nature work and how natural habitats can create plants and animals for thousands of years or more without human intervention.

An aquaponics system will use only a fraction of the water and fertilizer that farming in the ground does. Since water and nutrients are fed directly to the plant roots, instead of dumping it all over the ground, only about 2% of the water is consumed with aquaponics. And without the need to cultivate soil, battle weeds and other pests, and make and distribute fertilizer, much less energy is used.

Another great advantage is the ability to combine aquaculture with growing plants. It allows both fish and plants to be farmed in the same space and with the same equipment and shared resources. There is an ever growing demand for organic food and safe farm raised fish. Aquaponics covers them both without the environmental pollution that is associated with farming fish and even plants.

This system is created by growing plants and fish together. Aquaponics is simply a hydroponics system attached to an aquaculture (fish) tank. Fish and plants make excellent companions to each other. Fish release large amounts of waste materials into the water that contain the nutrients that plants need. In return, the plant roots along with bacteria, clean the water for the fish.

Hydroponics can be a good way to grow plants, but it has its disadvantages. Mainly in supplying the plants with nutrients and maintaining proper nutrient levels. This can be especially difficult for organic hydroponics in finding and supplying good sources of organic fertilizer.

Aquaculture is a growing industry, but one of the main problems is disposing of the fish water full of fish wastes. This can require a lot of water to keep the system clean and healthy for the fish. And often times the fish wastes are released into the environment, which can cause problems for streams and other bodies of water.

Aquaponics is a way to solve all of these problems. Water from the fish tank is circulated through the hydroponic system. Bacteria in the system break down the fish wastes and convert it to plant nutrients. The plants remove these materials from the water and keep it clean for the fish. This cycle works so well, that the same water can be cycled through the system over and over.

This type of farming can use only about 2% of the water that conventional farming uses, as well as less energy. There is no need to dispose of fish wastes, the bacteria and plants take care of it. This means no need for a mechanical filter or regular cleaning of the fish tank.

Plants in this type of system can show amazing growth. The system directly supplies the plant roots with everything they need. They get plenty of oxygen rich water and organic nutrients. When the plants don’t have to search for and compete with sometimes scare nutrients and water in soil, they can be planted closer together, allowing more plants to be grown in a smaller space. With the organic fertilizer, aquaponics is becoming more popular since the produce is known for having more of a garden grown taste than with hydroponics.

A common configuration is to have a fish tank on the ground, and a grow bed on top of it. This  places the plants at a convenient working level, and it makes excellent use of space. You get highly productive plants in the grow bed and the production of fish below, using the same space and resources. This allows the same amount of land to be many times more productive. And since the system does not use soil and very little water, it opens up infertile, land and even barren deserts to become highly productive farm land.

For commercial farmers, back yard gardeners, and even indoor gardeners, aquaponics systems can be scaled for your needs. They can be as simple as a home aquarium attached to a grow bed, or complex computer controlled systems. It is easy to start with a simple and low cost system in your home, greenhouse, or yard. You can then see for yourself how easy it can be to grow fresh organic vegetables and clean, fresh organic fish.

You have probably heard it said that money doesn’t buy happiness.  If you start to pay attention you will probably notice that the people who say things like this typically don’t have very much money.  Money may not buy happiness but it does pay the bill.

Money is necessary in this society to provide us with our basic necessities.  Money also gives us the freedom and ability to have and do the things we desire in life.  Happiness is a state of mind but having the money and freedom to live your life they way you desire as well as not having to worry and stress over where your basic necessities will come from tends to contribute greatly to that state of mind.

The most common way is to get a get a job and spend much of our waking lives working for someone and in exchange they pay us money.  This is what most people chose to do mostly because that’s what they were always told to do.

Another way is to start your own business.  There are many advantages to having your own business but in many cases a traditional business is a lot like having a job.  In many cases people who have their own business end up working harder and some make even less money than people who have a job.  A business often takes a large amount of capital to start and it can take years to start making a profit.  When a business does pay off it can become a great thing but that is typically the minority.

Another way to get money is to become an investor.  As an investor you invest in or create things that will continually give you money long after the initial investment.  An example would be where someone was to build a house and then rent it out. There is an initial investment of building the house but after the house is built the work is done. The money the house produces from rent keeps coming in even though the builder is no longer working to build the house.  With a few investments like this a investor can spend a minimal amount of time maintaining his investments and the rest of the time he can do whatever he pleases and the money will keep flowing

You might think you will need a bunch of money in order to be an investor.  That’s not necessarily the case. There are other things besides money that you can invest such as time and knowledge and leveraging other people.

Two examples of this are Internet Marketing and Network Marketing.

Internet Marketing allows you to leverage computers to where they will continually generate an income for you long after the time or money investment of setting them up.

Network Marketing allows you to leverage people who will be a self managing sales force selling other peoples products that will produce a commission for you long after you introduce them to the business.

There is actually a lot of money being made with these programs and it’s being made by the people who are selling these programs to you. Think about it, do you think someone is really going to pay you just to surf the web?

There are many ways to make money on the internet, I have been making my living off the internet for over 12 years. I have never made any money and have never known anyone who has made any money from buying some program that offered an easy turn key way to make money.

These programs prey on people’s desperation to make money with good sounding sales material. But when you buy and get the material it’s probably not going to be what they made it sound like it was going to be in the sales letter.

Nobody is going to pay you to surf the web. But someone might pay you if you create or offer something of value on the web. That’s how you make money on the internet is by creating something or selling something that people will want to buy. People only pay you when you give them something of value in return.

When you buy these programs you will probably get something that was not what you were expecting. Something that is not nearly as easy or likely as the sales letters for these programs make it sound when they claim you can earn money surfing the web.

If you want success with the internet you will have to educate yourself and be creative and stand out from the millions of other people who are trying to make money on the internet. Sometimes this involves months or years of working for little or no money while you go through a learning curve. Sometimes this involves changing yourself into someone who is valuable to others so they will want to pay you for something.

You can make a lot of money on the internet but you are expecting to buy some program and then start earning money surfing the web I am telling you now it’s not that simple. This doesn’t mean give up on making money on the internet, it just means watch out for people who are giving ridiculous claims to get you to send them money.

The truth is these programs work very well and make a lot of money for some people. Those people are the ones who are selling the programs to you. It’s hard to find any real information about paid survey programs on the internet because when you do a search about all you are going to find is advertisements and fake articles.  These articles are just poorly disguised sales material trying to convince you that you can get paid to take a survey so you will buy their program.

I have been involved in internet marketing and have been making my living off the internet for over 12 years and I have yet to know of one single person who makes money taking surveys.

I have known a few people who have tried making money taking surveys who never made any money. About all they really got out of it was a ruined email address because it got sold to spammers who flood them with spam every day.

Not only do the survey programs get your email address they also ask for a lot of other info like your address phone number and social security number.

With some you may be able to earn coupons and some you may be able to earn money with but only after you jump through some hoops. If you don’t mind submitting all your friend’s email addresses and so they can receive spam too and convince them to buy some subscriptions or products you may be able to make some money with survey programs.

If you are looking to make money entering data on the internet let me tell you the catch with those ads. They are trying to sell you an ebook that will then tell you to start placing advertisements on the internet. That is the data that you will be entering. Much of the time you will also have to pay to place these ads. Then the way you get paid is if by chance someone buys something from you. What you will usually be selling is the same ebook you just bought.

In fact these programs are so deceptive in their claims that Google has banned them from advertising in their Adwords Pay Per Click program and Clickbank, one of the biggest online merchant services, has also banned the data entry online programs from using their system.

Unless you are a professional internet marketer you are probably not going to make much if any money doing those kind of things anyway. Just like the data entry online programs, most online opportunities being advertised involve trying to sell something either with network marketing, mlm, internet marketing, chain letters or all of the above. Most of them are very similar, they just have different sales gimmicks to try to get you to buy their ebooks.

If you are tired of all of this nonsense there is one opportunity that doesn’t involve any of this. No marketing of anything of any kind. That opportunity is with the forex or foreign exchange. Not all trades are winners but with a good system you can get an advantage over the market and make a very nice living starting with very little money.
